Thomas U. Graner

Thomas U. Graner is a founding member of the law firm of Graner & Heimovics, P.A. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and graduated with honors from Florida State University, College of Law. His practice includes the representation of corporate and individual clients in wide-ranging commercial and business transactions. Mr. Graner represents clients in courts throughout the State of Florida and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.

Mr. Graner represents diverse businesses and industries, including manufacturing, distributing, service corporations, real estate and leasing companies, commercial landlords and tenants, lenders and title insurance agents. This includes the representation of clients in all aspects of contract negotiations, resolutions and disputes.

Joseph B. Heimovics, Graner & Heimovics, P.A

Joseph B. Heimovics

Joseph B. Heimovics is a partner in the law firm of Graner & Heimovics, P.A. Joe focuses his practice on commercial litigation, with an emphasis in the areas of business, real estate and construction law. His clients include individuals and businesses, and he represents both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal court. He has successfully represented clients in both general and complex commercial matters, has experience negotiating multi-million dollar transactions, and has represented the prevailing party in more than ten appeals. Joe is licensed to practice law in both Florida and Georgia, being an active member of both the Florida Bar and the State Bar of Georgia. He also is admitted to practice before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal, the Southern District in Florida and the Northern District of Georgia. Joe has prior judicial law clerk experience, having served a one-year judicial clerkship with Justice Paula A. Nakayama on the Hawaii Supreme Court. He is the past president and current board member of the Broward Professional Alliance, Inc., and also serves on the Board of Advisors for the Center for Urologic Research, Education and Diseases (CURED), which is the private philanthropic research arm of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Department of Urology. Joe and his wife, Aly, reside in Coral Springs with their two children, Jake and Zoe.

Steven K. Platzek, Graner & Heimovics, P.A

Steven K. Platzek

Steven K. Platzek is an associate at the law firm of Graner & Heimovics, P.A. Mr. Platzek received his Juris Doctorate in 2004 from the Benjamin N. Cardoza School of Law, New York, NY, and his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Miami. Mr. Platzek’s areas of concentration include all aspects of civil litigation from pre-suit negotiation through trial, real estate transactions, business law, and personal injury claims. Mr. Platzek represents corporate clients and individuals in a variety of different business disputes, including complex commercial litigation, business torts, foreclosure, landlord/tenant, restrictive covenants, contract actions, employment matters, pre-judgment and post-judgment collection. Mr. Platzek is admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Douglas S. Allison

Douglas S. Allison is an associate at the law firm of Graner & Heimovics, P.A. He brings to the firm a background in economics and mathematics, having earned his Bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Mr. Allison earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, where he was awarded a Certificate in Environmental and Land Use Law and participated in the Fredric G. Levin College of Law Environmental and Land Use Law Program. Mr. Allison represents individual and corporate clients and other business entities in a wide variety of civil matters, with a focus on commercial representation, including litigation. Mr. Allison is admitted to practice law in the courts of the State of Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
